Redhill Analysts has UKAS accreditation to conduct each of the three types of asbestos survey detailed in MDHS 100 and has a team of highly experienced
asbestos surveyors. All of our surveyors hold the BOHS P402 Certificate and are fully trained and audited to in-house procedures.
Asbestos Surveys and Registers
A key stage in managing asbestos is to identify the location, type, condition and extent of any Asbestos Containing Materials (ACMs). This can be achieved by conducting an asbestos survey. The survey should be in accordance with HSE guidance note MDHS 100 which describes three types:
Type 1 - Visual identification and assessment survey
Type 2 - (Management Survey) - Standard sampling, identification and assessment survey
Type 3 - (Refurbishment/ Demolition Survey) - Fully intrusive survey for major refurbishment or demolition works
The type of survey most appropriate will be dependent on client/property specific requirements.
The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 require asbestos to be identified and assessed. There is an explicit duty on the employer in occupation to manage the risks from asbestos in their premises.
Project Specific Intrusive surveys
Redhill Analysts can work alongside your refurbishment or demolition team on asbestos - related projects ranging from large developments to small soft strips and specific equipment replacement works. Redhill Analysts has developed a means of mitigating the impact of asbestos on both cost and programme through our Project Specific Intrusive Surveys and utilising our Project Management Team.
Frequently Asked Questions

How Redhill Analysts can help
Most demolition and refurbishment works are time and cost critical. We can help by:
Reducing survey costs and timescales
We will survey the specific areas where works are planned and produce a document
containing marked-up plans, a scope and specification and items for removal (where required). Costs and timescales are therefore kept to a minimum as the usual route of surveying areas not affected by the works is avoided.
The report (including scope and specification) can be sent to you or your representative
as a hard copy, CD or via e-mail.
